So my best friend and i were discussing this topic the other day. We've realized that the good girls always seem to fall for the wrong guys. She is a good catch, but she manages to fall for someone who doesn't deserve her at all. It's funny because my dad asked me the same question. My bff and i have compiled a list of possible reasons why the smart ones make stupid decisions in their love interest:
1. These girls see it as a challenge for themselves. They are ready to conquer the challenge and be the one to change this boy for the better.
2. The good ones aren't usually the type to approach a guy or "make the first move." Thus, the fact that a guy is making effort is a plus. That leads me to my next point...
3. Girls see their hard work as rewarding and admirable. They think, "oh, he's working hard to get me, so i'll give him a chance."
4. Opposites attract (?) This can go either way, but I believe this. A guy that can bring out another fun side of a female is exciting.
5. These girls are just blind. They overlook the bad side & give them the benefit of the doubt. "...stupid lamb"

I've definitely been the good girl that fell for the wrong guy in the past! For me, I think it was that he wasn't always the bad guy. I lived for the times (though few and far between!) that he was the good guy. Even when all my friends would tell me that he didn't deserve me, I defended him, telling them that when we were alone he was the greatest guy.
Oh well, hopefully all those girls will learn the error of their ways. It just takes some time!
I agree with this whole thing.
Being a good girl who just had a nasty breakup with the ultimate bad boy.Trust me, REALLY bad. I won't go into detail. The only thing I don't agree with is that we're blind. Cause trust me, we're not. If we don't think we can change him, as #1 states, the fact that we know it's not good is soooo appealing.
We're with these guys because it feels so good to be so bad.
i agree with number one. for good girls being with a loser is a chance to try to change people for the better and prove that everyone is good. ive been there and it does not work. you cannot change people no matter how much you think you can.
